What's interesting about muscles is that they will become stiff whether you overuse, or underuse them. Whenever you exercise, lactic acid builds up in the muscles. Even when you do not exercise and sit for hours, your muscles stiffen up due to lack of blood circulation.
Solution: Get a massage! Preferably a sports massage as this style is the style that focuses the most attention on muscles. Sports massage is one of the most therapeutic of all massage styles, for it works along the muscle fibres, and includes deep tissue treatment to penetrate tight muscles and loosen them. I may include heat treatment for severe cases. At the end of every sesson, I help the client to stretch his leg muscles and core muscles (the back, abdomen and hips). Clients always seem more energetic and mobile afterwards.
